What’s More Important: Image Or Results

I got an email from a subscriber the other day,
offering to “fix” my website for me, in
exchange for my services, which I politely
declined.
You see, this individual was under the
impression that my website didn’t look very
professional and thought my “image” needed
improving.
What he failed to understand is the fact that
I’m not concerned with creating an image for
myself or my products.
Let me explain:
Most companies spend thousands and thousands of
dollars on image advertising.
A few examples are Coca Cola, Pepsi, McDonald’s
and Goodyear.
These companies hope that after repeated
exposure to their advertising, you’ll remember
them when it comes time to buy that particular
product.
Only problem is, this type of advertising costs
a fortune and takes years to see results. And
even if it does yield results, they’re almost
impossible to measure.
That’s why I want no part of it.
The kind of advertising I do is called
Direct-Response Advertising. My only goal is to
get people to respond NOW!
Why is this so important?
Several reasons…
1. Every ad I run is measured, meaning that I
know EXACTLY how much income it produces.
2. I can run multiple variations of each ad, to
find out which one produces the most income.
This is called “testing” and I do it every time
I run an ad.
3. I see results in my bank account within days
or weeks, rather than years.
Image advertising offers none of these benefits.
Sure, my websites look a lot different than those
fancy-schmancy “professional” websites, but it’s
done intentionally.
And I’ll let you in on another little secret.
It costs a fortune to have a fancy-schmancy
“professional” website designed and it can take
months to get it up and running. But putting up a
Direct-Response website can be done for a fraction
of the cost and a fraction of the time.
In fact, I’ve put up entire websites in a matter
of hours.
And just like that, Cashola is flowing into my bank
account.
So, if you wanna spend a fortune and spend years
trying to make a buck, go ahead and build your
“image”.
I’ll bet that subscriber who offered to “fix” my
site will take your moolah.
