December 1987: I’ve got no money, no job (cause

I now have complete control of my time and work when
I choose. I also take plenty of time off to travel
and spend time with friends and family.

How did I make such an incredible transformation.
Easy.
I became a writer.
Though I’ve never been to college, and quite honestly,
my high school teachers would cringe at my writings,
I’m paid extremely well for what I do.
And I gotta be honest with you, it wasn’t that long
ago that I even started writing.
In fact, my first project was in 2000. I wrote a 13
page report on what needs to be done when you have a
water damage problem in your home.
Since I was in the cleaning and restoration business
at the time, I knew this topic very well. As a result,
it only took me a couple hours to write the report.
Over the years I’ve sold thousands of copies of this
report, for $14.95 each.
Since writing that report, I went on to write many
other reports, manuals, books and I’ve even authored
audio and video materials.
The one thing I discovered, which I now teach my
clients, is this:
Write about what you know and enjoy.
You don’t need any special skills. If you’ve been a
subscriber of mine for any length of time, you know
that I’m a pretty down-to-earth kind of guy.
I keep it simple, and yes, my writing even contains
a lot of grammatical errors (though many of em are
intentional).
And trust me, if a guy like me can do it, and make
the kind of cashola I do, then anybody can do it.
Now, when it comes to selling your writings, there
are a few secrets I’ve learned along the way.
And though it ain’t hard, if you don’t know what
you’re doin’, it can take years to figure out.
The other thing I’ve figured out is how to set up
systems that do all the work for me.
That way I’m not tied to a job.
Cause the truth is, I’ve had my fill of that and I
hate working for “the man”.
