Why 95% Of Businesses Fail

Have you ever thought about starting your own business, but were afraid you couldn’t make it work?

We’ve all heard the statistic that 95% of all businesses fail.

But what very few of us know is… why they fail.

Most business owners make one critical mistake that leads to their failure, and when you avoid this mistake, you’ll virtually guarantee the success of your own business.

Let me give you an example.

When I was a young lad, my parents joined Amway.

They absolutely loved the products, and in fact, our entire home was filled with them. We had everything from laundry soap to toothpaste to car wash.

If Amway made it, we bought it.

Truth is, it was a great line of products.

Because my mom and dad were so fired up about Amway, they spent many years of their lives (until they passed away) sharing the business opportunity with everyone they came in contact with.

With that said, let me ask you a question.

Have you ever heard of Amway?

Of course you have (unless you’ve been living under a rock all your life).

I’m also willing to bet that someone has approached you at one time or another with the Amway opportunity.

Perhaps you’ve been approached on several occasions.

Now…

Before I go any further, I need to make one thing extremely clear.

I’d never speak badly of Amway.

In fact, I think Amway is one of the most ethical companies around, and they have a great line of products.

My parents had good reason to be excited about their involvement with the company.

But I do need to point something out.

Even if you’ve never been involved with Amway, you’ve certainly heard of it.

And you’ve also formed some kind of opinion about the company, and the people (distributors) who sell Amway products.

Even if you’ve never had any first-hand exposure to the company… never been to an Amway seminar in your life… you’ve still got some kind of opinion.

And if you’re like many people, you’ve got your Amway guard up.

Let’s say your long-time friend (who you’ve known for years) calls you up one night and says, “Hey <$firstname$>, I’ve got a business idea that I want to run by you. Can we get together next Thursday?”

Before they even finish the sentence, you’re thinking to yourself, “Is this Amway? I don’t wanna hear about Amway”.

How do I know this?

Like I said, my parents were involved with the company for the better part of their lives, and I watched as they dealt with these objections on a regular basis.

They were constantly having to overcome people’s objections when presenting the Amway opportunity to them.

And to be honest, they did a very good job of it.

But the one critical mistake they made was this:

They didn’t give people what they ALREADY WANTED.

You see, it doesn’t matter how great your products is.

It makes no difference how great your business is.

I hate to say it, but nobody cares!

None of this means anything, until you start giving people what they already want.

And the truth is, you can sell dang near anything, as long as you’re giving people what they already want.

So…

If you already own a business, take a step back and ask yourself, “How can I position my product or service in a way that will give people what they already want?”

And… if you’re ready to start a business of your own, and want to make tons of cashola as fast as humanly possible, answer this question before you spend one penny on ANY business venture.

Cause the truth is, it’s easy to find 1,000’s of HOT buyers, as long as you’re giving them exactly what they want.
